The Canine Freestyle Federation competition in Alexandria, Virginia hosted dogs from considerable distance. In a tie for second place Laurel Rabschutz of Willington, CT, and her 'beau' Gus, ( Ebunyzar's Gustav Mauler, CD, WRD) proved definitively that Newfs can dance. They performed 'Classical Gas' as their competition number, and for their creative interpretation, their huge crowd-pleaser, 'Rescue Me', which has entertained audiences throughout New England. Since we have no photos of the 'Rescue Me' piece, FYI, Laurel wears a rubber-duckie headed child's inner tube around her waist, and Gus hauls her around by carrying his bumper, with Laurel clutching the end of its rope. |
